It’s wicked cold and there’s another batch of snow on its way.
My favorite activity gets shortened this time of year. I like to stand outside on the stoop that overlooks a stream that feeds into the Connecticut river.
I smoke my pipe and contemplate the world around me.
It’s something I’ve done for ages now and the quiet reflection keeps me grounded. I like to keep an eye on things, watching for signs of decay while rejoicing over the abundance of life.
Things might not be so bad if more people followed suit.

I thought I had commented on this, but it seems I only thought and didn’t actually act. I’m an observer. I can sit here and watch whatever or whoever passes by the house front or back. When my son and I walked those blocks through uptown Charlotte the other night, I was seeing the good and not so good. Last night my last thought was of those I saw homeless and hoping they had better shelter than a bus stop due to the much lower temperatures. Just as I see how insane and evil people have become. Did you see the article (accepting at the moment it is possibly true) that told of a man who took the jab ten times in one day? People are paying those who need money to assume their identity and take the jab. It is so sad and disappointing what so many are becoming. I think I’ll go throw another log on the fire, pour a cup of coffee and watch the cats playing out back. Much more peaceful.

Thanks, I didn’t see the article but it doesn’t surprise me. Even if it wasn’t true, I can believe that there are people out there doing that, taking money to get the jab for others. Really sad times right now, for sure.
